For unit 2, you will be introduced to Tableau, which is a data visualization tool that might make your unit 2 infographic project much easier. You are not required to use Tableau in your infographic, but I do want you to play around with data in Tableau.
I will provide you with a temporary student license, and you may use Tableau Desktop or Tableau Online (if you are working with others) to complete this tutorial and maybe even your unit 2 infographic.
For this assignment, I am having you learn at your own pace through online tutorials, but I am here to help you, so please ask questions as needed.
Use the information below to download Tableau Desktop or access Tableau Online. Tableau Desktop is more robust than Tableau Online, so it is good if you are working on an individual project or a data set that you do not want to make public. Tableau Online is very useful if you want to collaborate with other classmates on your project. It is a little easier to use than Desktop.
You can also download Tableau Prep Builder if you want, which helps you clean up your data.
All my students have access to the online version of Tableau, which helps with collaboration through an email I sent in March. If you lost the email, contact me, and I will get you a link.
